Code Rule 59 Services
Code Rule 59 assessments often result in recommendations to develop a written health and safety program if one does not already exist or that modifications be made to the existing program. Using the term "recommendations" is less than accurate: these are requirements that must be implemented prior to the carrier conducting the required re-inspection. Only when the carrier confirms that the "recommendations" have been implemented will the Department of Labor close out the case.
Companies and organizations have a range of options to address the ICR 59 recommendations including:
The last option is designed to minimize the recommendations that are made by the consultant when the assessment is actually conducted. It's been our experience that the vast number of companies who are required to participate in the ICR 59 program do not have written programs or their programs are insufficient. Preparing or revising a program prior to the consultation will typically minimize, and potentially eliminate recommendations by the consultant. See our Pre-ICR 59 Services page for more details.
As far as addressing recommendations after the assessment, if you have the internal resources and skills or you have already retained a consultant with whom you are satisfied, we wish you the best. However, if you are seeking support in closing out this assessment or simply wish to obtain additional proposals or estimates, please feel free to complete the online form below to obtain a customized proposal for the services that you require.
All written health and safety programs provided by EAS are delivered in unlocked, full editable Microsoft Word format. After all, this is your program and you should be able to edit/revise it in the future without paying additional fees. Similarly, programs provided in other formats such as Microsoft Power Point are also fully editable.
